Every session is planned for one skater and one coach, so you never share my attention.
- A lesson plan matched to your current level and your goals, from first push to first tricks
- Patient, step-by-step coaching from a professional skateboarder with 26 years on a board and over 16 years of teaching
- One-hour sessions for younger children; two hours recommended for teenagers and adults
- Safety first: helmet, knee and elbow pads and wrist guards for every lesson. No gear yet? Let me know when you book
- Bring your own skateboard, or hire one for the lesson
- Peace of mind for parents: I hold a current Working With Children Check (WWCC), and you are welcome to stay and watch
How a Private Lesson Works

Tell me about the skater
Send a message through the booking form with age, level and the days that suit you. I reply promptly to arrange a time and place.

Meet at the skatepark
We start with the fundamentals (stance, balance, pushing and stopping) or, if you already skate, go straight into the skills you want to unlock.

Build from there
Book single sessions as you go, or save with a lesson package and progress steadily from rolling to dropping in and your first tricks.

Common Questions
What age do you teach?
Skaters of all ages, from young children to my oldest student, who is 65. There is no age limit, and complete beginners are very welcome.
Do I need my own skateboard and safety gear?
Bring your own board, or let me know when you book and one can be hired for the lesson. A helmet, knee and elbow pads and wrist guards are required for every lesson; if you do not have them yet, tell me when you book and I will help you get sorted.
Where and when do lessons run?
At North Sydney, Meadowbank and Sydney Park (Newtown/Erskineville) skateparks, 7 days a week from 10am to 6pm.
What if I need to cancel?
Please give at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or move a lesson; later cancellations may incur a fee.
